I’m far from a “traditional” mother. I got pregnant at the end of my last semester at community college. I went on to a four year university that following fall, gave birth in between semesters (perfect timing!), and still took a fulltime course load that spring. I am now on track to graduate with my BA in Communication next fall.
I go to classes 3 days a week, work at my retail job on the weekends, and intern as a marketing consultant as needed. Oh yeah, I always run this beautiful blog that you are currently on! Needless to say, I am one busy mommy. I would love to say that I have the greatest time management skills ever, but that would be a flat out lie. I somehow manage to meet all my deadlines and get most of the housework done in a timely manner.
There have been several times this fall that I have thought about giving up on of my various ventures, but then I remind myself of who is watching me. My daughter is my biggest motivator. She makes me want to be the very best version of myself. She keeps me sane. I feel so at peace at night when I lay her down for bed and just watch her sleep. I couldn’t imagine not being Sophia’s mom.
Life has been crazy this year and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. I’m so thankful for my amazing husband, supportive parents, and awesome friends. I don’t know what I would do without them. They all play very important roles in my life. When I feel like just throwing in the towel on one of my many duties, I just lean on them for support. I couldn’t do it without them. Especially, my parents. They have been there when I needed advice after bringing Sophia home, a babysitter, and comfort. I know I don’t say it enough, but I really do appreciate you all!
